MLK TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
The 7th grade team beat Snohomish in the Championship game (47-35) to win the MLK tournament at Snohomish.

SKYLINE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
In their first tournament of the season, the 6th grade team went 4-0 to capture first place at the Annual Skyline Tip Off Tournament. Congratulations!

VOLUNTEER POSITION AVAILABLE - PROGRAM DIRECTOR
The Eastlake Select Girls Basketball program has an opening for the Director position.  This position is open to anyone interested in the organization and development of Eastlake girls basketball.  The position is available starting March 1, 2012.  The Director works with the board in the management of the Eastlake Select Girls Basketball program.  The Director has the following responsibilities and should work with the board and parent volunteers to make sure that each item is executed. 

- Tryouts in September (approx. 15 hours  total-Aug/Sep)
- Team selection, staffing, kick off meeting (approx 5 hours total-Sep)
- Scheduling of local gyms for practices and allocating practice time to the teams (average of 1 hour a week/Sep-Mar)
- Uniforms (approx. 10 hours total-Sep/Oct/Nov)
- Forms and registration (5 hours total-Sep/Oct)
- League Director meetings (2 hours each meeting - 3-4 times a season)
- Communication with the team managers, parents, and coaches (as needed throughout the season)
- Communication with the high school program
- Schedule gym space for home games at Eastlake (2 hours  - Oct. )
- Supervise the gym for home games (35 to 40 hours Dec. to March)
- Board meetings (3 hours per month)
- Fundraising
- Budget management with treasurer
